Ah, the Good Old Days

I came across this gem and just had to share. This was taken a few days before Hayden was born. Lucky for my husband, I was unaware he was taking the picture. Jeez, I look like I'm smuggling a keg into a dorm room. Those pants, by the way, could fit a sumo wrestler. My good friend Amy is expecting. Any time I talk to her now, I become one of those annoying women who talked to me when I was pregnant. You know, the ones who just have to tell you their stories about swollen ankles and morning sickness and back labor and epidurals and/or c-section scars and blah, blah, blah. It's like we can't stop ourselves. I think there may be an unspoken bond between mothers -- we can't wait to induct someone else into our club. Sharing those horror stories must be a women's way of saying how excited we are for each other. So Amy, it may sound all about me, but I really feel that it's all about you!

  • PS: Amy, I am totally saving those pants for you!

Bring on the fat pants! Aww...what a great blog post, Mo. I feel honored to hear your stories and to be joining the mom club. I just hope I'm as good a mom as you are someday. :)
